Is the child Not Ready for School? Let's Check Your Little One's Readiness Aspect!
Soon the new school year will start, Parents! Is your little one ready to sit in elementary school? There are several things that must be prepared from now on to be able to support the development of children when they enter school. What are the aspects?
Skilled Gross Motor
It cannot be denied that this aspect of gross motor skills is very important for children aged 5-7 years who must enter elementary school. Gross motor aspects include controlling body movements, the ability to follow exemplary movements, and also the ability to be able to direct the body according to the context of the activity so it's very important, you know, Parents!
Why is this aspect so important? Imagine if a child has difficulty controlling his body movements, it will be quite difficult for them to be able to sit still in a chair for 30-45 minutes which is usually one hour of class. It is hoped that grade 1 elementary school child will be able to control their body movements so they can follow instructions given by one teacher in front.
Not only that, the ability to be able to direct his body when participating in activities such as sports lessons, group games with classmates, or other physical activities is also important so that children know when they can and cannot move while at school.
Good Emotional Control
When entering school, children will meet many new people who have different backgrounds and habits. Good emotional control skills such as being able to control his crying when his mother leaves after taking them to school are important behaviors that must be considered.
How to train for it? Invite children in activities such as playing with their siblings or cousins and let children play alone without company. Not only that, let the children do their own exploration when going to a new place to practice their independence.
Fine Motor Control
At least the child can control the movement of his fingers. For example, when holding a pencil, the child is able to grip the tripod even though the writing results are still not very neat. Very neat writing takes time and consistent practice, parents
Can distinguish letters and numbers.
Parents must already know that in elementary school today, children should be able to read at least one sentence. Make sure that your little one is able to distinguish each letter by its shape and can assemble the letters into words.
How are you, parents? It turns out that the ability to be ready for the school must be an important concern so that your little one is ready and can enjoy his days at school. Keep the spirit, Okay?
