The eye is one of the organs of the human body that has an important role in life. The eye is the door that opens the world. With our eyes, we can see various kinds of beauty and features of the world and its contents. With the eyes, humans can also learn various kinds of new things that make humans more developed. And with our eyes, we not only see beauty but other events that are less wearing, but that's where we will learn to become stronger human beings.


Awareness of maintaining eye health is important to do. Especially in this technological era, many of our eyes are faced with screens. Ultimately, our eyes become easily tired, and eye health declines. Not infrequently nowadays many people even small children have problems with their eyes. It is necessary to maintain eye health so that the eyes remain healthy. Maintaining eye health can be started by consuming fruits and vegetables that contain nutrients that are good for the eyes. Antioxidants contained in vegetables and fruit are proven to maintain eye health. For more details, see the explanation below!

1. Fruits and vegetables containing Lutein & Zeaxanthin

Fruits and vegetables that contain the antioxidants lutein and zeaxanthin can maintain eye health. These fruits and vegetables include eggs, kale, spinach, turnip greens, collard greens, romaine lettuce, broccoli, zucchini, corn, peas, and Brussels sprouts.

2. Fruits and vegetables that contain Vitamin C (ascorbid acid)

Vitamin C is known as one of the nutrients the body needs to maintain immunity. Vitamin C is also very beneficial in maintaining eye health. The following fruits and vegetables that contain vitamin C and are suitable for the eyes include red berries, kiwi, red and green peppers, tomatoes, broccoli, spinach, and juices made from guava, grapefruit, and oranges.

3. Fruits and vegetables containing Vitamin A/Beta Carotene

Vitamin A is also known as good nutrition for the eyes. Eating foods that contain vitamin A is good for eye health. Fruits and vegetables that contain vitamin A include carrots, sweet potatoes, pumpkin, eggs, and green vegetables.

4. Fruits and vegetables that contain Vitamin E.

Some foods that contain vitamin E which is good for the eyes include vegetable oil, nuts, green leafy vegetables, sweet potatoes, avocados, wheat germ, and seeds.

5. Fruits and vegetables that contain Zinc.

Some foods that contain zinc which are good for the eyes include red meat, poultry, oysters and other seafood, nuts, dried beans, soy foods, milk and other dairy products, whole grains, and fortified breakfast cereals.
